We are extrusion guys - we make long parts with the same cross section down the length of the part. Usually we make parts that are designed by other folks and used by them to make products for sale to consumers.

Late in 2003, we were making a hollow part out of a flexible material for a company and ran some extra parts that ended up on the sides of boat docks. Their purpose was to keep the boat from getting scratched as it rubbed up against the dock edge. That got us thinking - what products are available to boat owners that will stand up to this tough environment.

What we found was that there are very few products available direct from the manufacturer - and very little information regarding the products that are available from retailers as far as what they are made of and how long they will last.

We decided that direct internet sales was an excellent path to sell high quality products to dock and boat owners. So here we are....
